Things I use.
The tools I work with day to day — Arch Linux, the terminal, and the hardware on the bench.
Only things I actually use. Nothing here is sponsored; it's what works for me.
Linux
Arch Linux, via Omarchy — Hyprland as the window manager, a keyboard-first desktop. Everything else on this list runs on top of it.
Development
TypeScript and Next.js for the web; Go and Python for tools and services; PHP where a legacy system needs it. PostgreSQL and Redis, with MySQL or MongoDB when a project already has one. Git, with Bitbucket and Jira at work.
Devices and networks
Raspberry Pi and ESP-class microcontrollers on the bench; Modbus RTU/TCP over RS-485 and LoRaWAN in the field. WireGuard and OpenVPN between sites, with nginx or Caddy in front of whatever needs a front.
Operations
Docker for nearly everything that runs on a server, Linux administration by hand where it matters, Prometheus and Grafana to see what's happening.
